Super Falcons forward Omorinsola Babajide has completed a move to AS Roma Women in the Italian Serie A, marking a fresh chapter in her career.
The 26-year-old attacker joined the Giallorosse on a free transfer after her contract with UD Tenerife expired in May.
AS Roma confirmed the signing via its official website, stating that Babajide has penned a two-year contract with the club.
Sharing her excitement on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Babajide wrote:
“Happy to finally announce that I’ve signed for @ASRomaFemminile. I’m so excited to see what we can achieve together. Back in red and ready for this incredible new chapter.
Grateful to God for guiding me through every step of this journey. My heart is full, especially having my mum beside me along the way.
Thank you @beplayerbyyoufirst for making this move possible.. Can’t wait to get started & see you all.”
Babajide’s move brings her back to top-flight football in a new league, where she’ll look to bring pace, skill, and goals to a Roma side competing for domestic and European honours.
