Real Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams has finally addressed the confusion surrounding her strained friendship with fellow cast member Jojo Robinson, after weeks of speculation and emotional posts on social media.
The drama began when Jojo Robinson penned a heartfelt open letter to Nonku on Instagram, expressing sadness over the apparent breakdown of their once-strong bond. In the message, Jojo shared her love and appreciation for their time together while hinting that their paths were now diverging.
“Dear Nonkie Nonks, I hope you find peace and love with whoever you choose in this life,” Jojo wrote. “I loved every second we spent together and I’m forever grateful for the friendship we shared… I understand that you are going in a different direction, and I hope one day we get to talk again in person.”
The post stirred emotions among fans of RHOD, many of whom considered the pair’s friendship a highlight of the show. Jojo’s vulnerability prompted a wave of support and raised questions about what really went wrong between the two.
Responding in kind, Nonku Williams released a detailed and emotional post, aiming to clear the air and share her side of the story. She explained that there had been a major misunderstanding and that her comments on the show were misinterpreted.
“This is a heartfelt message I’ve written regarding the recent misunderstanding involving Jojo,” Nonku wrote. “These are my sincere sentiments, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read them with understanding and grace.”
She admitted that referring to their relationship as “surface level” came off harsher than intended, stating, “I want to apologize for using the words ‘surface level’… I tend to be very blunt… and I’m actively working on being more mindful and gentle in my delivery.”
Nonku also reflected on her spiritual growth and how that has influenced the depth of her friendships. She explained that while she may turn to other friends for spiritual support in certain moments, that doesn’t diminish Jojo’s importance in her life.
“I love Jojo, and I’m committed to our friendship,” she wrote. “I’m deeply grateful for the years we’ve shared.”
She concluded by stating that not all conflicts should be played out online and hinted at a possible reconciliation. “Some moments and friendships are sacred and should be handled with care, off-camera,” she added.
As of now, the two stars are reportedly working toward mending their bond, much to the hope and excitement of fans who want to see them reconnect on and off screen.
