“I’ve Accepted Your Apology, But My Lawyers Are Moving Forward” — Beverly Steyn Replies Nonku Williams

Beverly Steyn Replies Nonku Williams

Reality TV star Beverly Steyn has publicly responded to Nonku Williams following Williams’ recent apology, making it clear that while she has accepted the apology, the legal process will continue.

Nonku Williams had earlier issued a heartfelt public apology amid weeks of intense public discussion surrounding her fallout with Steyn. The dispute, according to Steyn, centres on alleged financial exploitation involving money Williams reportedly borrowed under a signed agreement.

Speaking to News24, Steyn claimed that Williams borrowed a substantial sum of money but failed to repay it by the agreed deadline. She said repeated attempts to recover the money privately were unsuccessful, forcing her to involve her legal team.

On Thursday, February 5, 2026, Steyn addressed the matter directly on Instagram, where she acknowledged Williams’ apology but stressed that it does not end the matter legally.

“To Nonku…. I have accepted your apology but my legal team is moving forward. Everything I have stated above is factual, I have receipts,” Steyn wrote.

In a series of detailed slides shared alongside the post, Steyn explained why she chose to take the issue public, describing it as a last resort after months of silence.

According to Steyn, after the agreement expired, Williams allegedly acknowledged the debt but refused to provide a repayment date. She further claimed Williams promised to sell luxury items to demonstrate commitment, only to later suggest putting their friendship on hold until the money was repaid.

Steyn said the situation deteriorated further when Williams allegedly stopped responding entirely, adding that she was emotionally distressed upon discovering that others had also reportedly been affected in a similar way.

After six months, Steyn claimed she sent formal legal correspondence that went unanswered, prompting her decision to go public to get Williams’ attention and break what she described as a repeated pattern of behaviour.

Despite the fallout, Steyn insisted her actions were not driven by malice.

“Thank you to those who support me and those who support Nonku. I hold no grudges to those who post nasty comments,” she wrote, noting that many people do not understand the emotional toll caused by the breakdown of their friendship.

While the apology has been acknowledged, Steyn’s statement makes it clear that reconciliation on a personal level does not automatically halt legal accountability, as the matter now rests in the hands of lawyers.
