South African media personality and TV host Pamela Mtanga is celebrating a major career milestone after being named Glamour South Africa’s Most Glamorous 2025 Style Influencer.
The award was presented at the Glamour Fashion Awards, held on Saturday, 19 July 2025, in Johannesburg — a star-studded affair that spotlighted fearless individuals who boldly express themselves through fashion.
Pamela, known for her dynamic style and engaging personality, turned heads as she accepted the honour. She later took to social media to express heartfelt gratitude to her fans and supporters.
“Boothangs, WE WON Glamour’s Most Glamorous 2025 Style Influencer because of your support. Thank you! I show up the way that I do because I feel like a child whose parents validate her dreams,” she wrote, also thanking her creative team and management at @punchlineprojects.
A Passion Reignited
In her post, Pamela opened up about the pivotal moment when she chose to return to creating fashion content — something she has always been passionate about.
“When I made the conscious decision to go back to creating fashion videos… by the next month it was in motion,” she explained, adding that she collaborated with fellow content creator @sesethu_yabo, who helped bring her vision to life.
Their early shoots were filled with hustle and heart — from styling sessions at home to shooting against the sunset in Cape Town. Pamela humorously recalled changing outfits in the car with curious strangers nearby, proving that her glamorous content is built on real grit.
The Turning Point: Adidas x Ivy Park
Pamela reflected on a turning point in her career — a self-styled shoot with clothes from an Adidas x Ivy Park campaign. That video introduced her to a broader audience, contributing to a 25% growth in her following.
“If it wasn’t for that moment, I wouldn’t be creating fashion content today. Years later, I’m proud to say I’m a lifestyle ambassador for the brand,” she noted.
Behind the Glam: The Cost of Creating
Despite the glitz, Pamela was transparent about the financial demands of being a fashion content creator. She revealed that most of the outfits seen in her videos are self-funded.
“In my speech, I mentioned how expensive this is. 90% of my clothes aren’t sponsored… I don’t do what I do for awards, but I won’t lie — it feels good to be recognised!”
A Legacy of Recognition
This is not Pamela’s first nod from Glamour SA. In 2023, she was honoured as one of the magazine’s Women of the Year, and she also graced the cover of one of its digital issues.
“Thank you @glamour_sa for always supporting and seeing me. From my first ever digital cover to this award — I see you see me. I don’t know any other publication that has done that,” Pamela concluded.
With this award, Pamela Mtanga continues to solidify her place as one of South Africa’s most influential voices in fashion and media — proof that authenticity, consistency, and vision always shine through.
