The Miss South Africa Organisation has officially announced the departure of its CEO, Stephanie Weil, who has led the prestigious pageant for the past five years. The news was confirmed on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, through an official statement released by the organisers.
Weil took over as CEO in 2019, overseeing a transformative era for the pageant that included increased inclusivity, rebranding efforts, and global recognition.
“The organisers of Miss South Africa wish @stephweil everything of the best with her new endeavours,” the statement read. “An agreement has been reached that Ms Weil will be leaving the organisation after many years as CEO.”

Though she is stepping down, Weil will not be leaving immediately. The Miss SA Organisation confirmed that she will stay on temporarily to oversee a smooth leadership handover, ensuring the continuity and integrity of the brand.
