Popular reality TV personality and influencer Anita Natasha Akide, better known as Tacha, has revealed her growing interest in joining politics, particularly to help fix the state of affairs in her native Rivers State.
Speaking during a recent interview with media personality Ebuka, the Big Brother Naija star expressed her frustration with the underdevelopment in Rivers despite its massive potential.
“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it,” Tacha said. “It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there… a lot can happen if the government pays attention.”
Tacha, who was born and raised in Port Harcourt, emphasized that being part of the system is the only effective way to bring lasting change. She explained that mere criticism from the sidelines won’t yield results.
When asked if she plans to run for office, she responded:
“It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”
Tacha didn’t disclose specific details yet, but her response suggests that she is already making quiet moves toward a political future—one she intends to pursue when the time is right.
Beyond politics, the BBNaija alum also disclosed her ambition to break a Guinness World Record by doing makeup for 150 people in 24 hours, showcasing her entrepreneurial side and continuous drive to make history.
From reality TV fame to potential political office, Tacha is steadily reshaping her legacy—and many fans are here for it.
