South African media personality and entrepreneur Thando Thabethe recently hosted a stylish and impactful event in honor of Men’s Mental Health Month, blending fashion, self-care, and wellness in an unforgettable evening.
Partnering with Sorbet Man Hyde Park, Thabethe created a space focused on celebrating men’s mental well-being while redefining what self-expression and strength look like for modern men.
The guest list was a who’s who of South African entertainment, including Jesse Suntele, Sandile Ndlovu, Hungani Ndlovu, Nat Ramabulana, Eric Macheru, Yanga Chief, and Desmond Dube, as well as Tebogo and Mpho Lerole from the Act Now Foundation. Together, these influential voices united to support a movement that encourages vulnerability and emotional openness among men.
The event also marked the official launch of Tha’Bhuti, Thabethe’s much-anticipated men’s fashion line under her successful Thabooty’s brand.
What started as a playful April Fools’ Day joke has now evolved into a full-fledged collection, beginning with the Coco Collection—a luxury-meets-comfort range that features standout pieces, including a robe-dress hybrid handcrafted in South Africa.
“This month is not only about raising awareness around men’s mental health,” Thabethe told Entertainment SA, “but also about creating real spaces of softness and self-expression. Partnering with Sorbet Man gave us the perfect platform to show that taking care of yourself is strength, not weakness.”
Thabethe emphasized that Tha’Bhuti is more than a clothing brand—it’s a cultural statement aimed at empowering men to embrace softness, style, and self-care without stigma.
“It’s about the soft brothers, the finest uncles, and the dads who deserve to feel premium comfort,” she said. “Tha’Bhuti is for those who want to look good while embracing the true meaning of relaxation and style.”
Through this fashion-forward initiative and her partnership with Sorbet Man, Thabethe is challenging stereotypes and promoting healthier conversations around masculinity. The event demonstrated that when men are given safe spaces to express themselves authentically, heal, and style themselves, powerful transformations can occur.
