Napoli striker Victor Osimhen appears to have made a decisive move regarding his future, with reports suggesting he has agreed to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a permanent basis.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old Nigerian international has accepted a lucrative €16 million-per-year contract and has already informed both clubs of his desire to remain in Turkey.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he played a crucial role in helping the club secure the league title and the Turkish League Cup. His standout performances appear to have convinced the Super Lig champions to make the move permanent.
Amid subdued interest from Europe’s elite clubs, Osimhen is said to be keen on staying with Galatasaray, a club that has embraced him both on and off the pitch.
The push to sign the Super Eagles star has reportedly received significant financial support from Galatasaray’s sponsors, who are prepared to help activate his €75 million release clause at Napoli.
