Oscar and Emmy-winning actress Viola Davis is set to headline a reimagining of the 1987 psychological thriller House of Games, currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios.
Davis will not only star in the project but also produce through JuVee Productions, alongside Julius Tennon and Melanie Clark, continuing her dedication to powerful, nuanced storytelling both onscreen and behind the scenes.
Joining her is Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who will also co-star and produce the film under his banner, House Eleven10.
The original film, written and directed by David Mamet, centered on a psychiatrist drawn into the world of con artists and gambling while attempting to help a troubled patient. The upcoming reimagining is expected to bring a modern and elevated take to the cult classic, though plot specifics and the full cast remain under wraps.
No official release date has been announced yet.
