Two-time GRAMMY winner Tems is turning her spotlight into a lifeline for the next generation of female creatives with the launch of her ‘Leading Vibe Initiative’ — a groundbreaking platform designed to support and uplift young women in the African music industry.
Set to debut this August in Lagos, the program will feature hands-on workshops, expert-led masterclasses, and direct mentorship from industry leaders.
It’s geared toward emerging female artists, songwriters, and producers, offering them the tools and guidance needed to break into and thrive in a traditionally male-dominated field.
“My goal with the Leading Vibe Initiative is to help discover and support talented young women who have the potential to redefine the industry,” Tems said.
“By providing access, tools, and opportunity, we’re creating space for them to find their voices, step into their power, and shape the future of music across the continent and globally.”
Tems, who rose to fame navigating the music landscape without institutional support, is now using her platform to close the gender gap — particularly in music production, where women account for just 3% of producers globally.
Applications for the Lagos edition are now open, with future rollouts planned in other African cities and beyond.
Tems isn’t just making global hits — she’s making history.
