Juventus Scouting Director, Giorgio Chiellini, has firmly dismissed ongoing speculation linking Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen to the Serie A club, stating that the Bianconeri have no involvement in the striker’s transfer saga.
Osimhen, 26, has been at the center of multiple transfer rumors this summer following the expiration of his 12-month loan deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Nigeria international initially joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli and is expected to make a decision on his next destination in the coming days.
Despite growing reports suggesting a potential move to Juventus, Chiellini has poured cold water on the rumors.
“Victor Osimhen transfer? We’ve nothing to do with Osimhen.
You’ve to fill the pages and report the news. We read a lot of things that make us laugh. You keep talking, we keep working,” he said, according to Turkish outlet habersarikirmizi.
Juventus already boast attacking talents such as Dušan Vlahović and Randal Kolo Muani, both of whom are expected to lead the line in the coming season. In addition, the club is reportedly close to sealing a deal for Canadian international and former Lille striker, Jonathan David.
With Chiellini’s clear statement, it appears Juventus are focused on alternative attacking options — and for now, Osimhen is not part of their plans.
