Nigerian comedian and content creator, GehGeh, has addressed the growing criticisms surrounding his style of commentary, particularly his frequent remarks about women.
The skitmaker, who has often faced backlash from social media users accusing him of fueling dislike towards women, took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify his stance. According to him, his content is not rooted in hate or bias but is simply his unique way of connecting with Nigerians.
“The fact say I dey talk about women no mean say I no like women ooh Nigerians,” GehGeh wrote. “If your girlfriend give me d**, I go collect.”
His reaction followed reports that more than 20,000 people joined an online space where he spoke extensively to men about handling finances and relationships.
Despite the controversies, GehGeh insisted that his satirical style should not be misinterpreted. He emphasized that his comedy is a way for him to give back to society, not tear it down.
“So Nigerians, na bad thing to give back to the country? So na because of me APC government no take una serious for the country eeehn Nigerians. All I’m doing is giving back to my people and I’ll never stop,” he added.
While his approach continues to divide opinions, GehGeh maintains that his intention has always been to spark conversations and entertain, not to spread animosity.
