Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre, effective August 12, 2025.
In a statement, the refinery said the price adjustment aims to ease the burden on Nigerians and stimulate economic growth. The new price reflects the ex-depot rate, meaning it is the price before additional distribution and retail costs are added.
To further boost efficiency and promote clean energy, Dangote Petroleum Refinery also announced that it will deploy 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks starting August 15, 2025. These trucks are expected to improve fuel distribution nationwide while supporting Nigeria’s transition to greener energy solutions.
With these changes, Dangote Petroleum Refinery reaffirmed its commitment to uninterrupted petroleum product supply and to contributing towards sustainable energy development in Nigeria.
