Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has confirmed that Gianluigi Donnarumma’s departure was his decision, despite hailing the Italian as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. But we were looking for a different profile… This is 100% my decision,” Enrique said.
Donnarumma, who joined PSG in 2021 after leaving AC Milan, earlier expressed disappointment, revealing that “someone decided” he could no longer be part of the squad. His next club is yet to be announced.
