Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has stirred reactions online after openly expressing interest in her colleague Bakare Zainab’s father.
Bakare had taken to Instagram to celebrate her dad’s 66th birthday with stunning photos and heartfelt tributes.
She described him as her “rockstar, perfect gentleman, champ and favourite human,” adding that 66 has never looked more perfect. In another post, the actress called her father her hero, her first love, her mirror, and her strongest supporter.
Amid the flood of birthday wishes, Debbie Shokoya cheekily dropped a comment under the post, asking if the celebrant needed a girlfriend.
“God bless you, sir. Happy birthday!! @bakarezainab sey Daddy no need gf?” Debbie wrote.
Zainab, in a playful response, hinted that her dad was indeed open to love but joked that Debbie’s husband might not approve of the connection.
“He needs but make uncle Lukman no arrest me,” she replied.
The exchange has since sparked laughter among fans, who praised the actresses for their humour and playful banter.
