Rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly reached out to former President Donald Trump for a presidential pardon, following his recent conviction on prostitution-related charges and denial of bail.
Diddy, who was found guilty in July of two counts of transportation for pr0stitution, could face up to 20 years in prison when sentenced in October 2025. He was acquitted of more serious charges including racketeering conspiracy and s£x-trafficking, which could have carried a life sentence.
According to Nicole Westmoreland, a lawyer on Diddy’s defense team, communications have been made with the Trump team regarding a potential pardon.
“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Westmoreland told CNN.
However, in an interview with Newsmax, Donald Trump cast doubt on the possibility of granting clemency to the hip-hop icon.
“They have talked to me about Sean… But when I ran for office, he was very hostile. I would say it’s more likely a ‘no’,” Trump stated.
As Diddy’s legal team explores all options ahead of sentencing, the public awaits further developments on whether a presidential pardon will be granted — or firmly denied.
