The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, will officially ascend the throne as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Findings revealed that his nomination has been approved by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. A state delegation also met with Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-In-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday to finalize preparations.
Confirming the development, Adeola Oloko, media aide to the incoming monarch, said: “Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025. The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.”
It will be recalled that the former governor of Oyo State, met with the kingmakers at his residence on Tuesday ahead of the official announcement.
The historic coronation is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers, and well-wishers from across Nigeria.
