Oba Rashidi Ladoja Nominated as 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland

The newly installed 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to fulfill the long-standing demand for the creation of Ibadan State out of the present Oyo State.

Ladoja made the call on Friday, September 26, shortly after receiving his Staff of Office from Governor Seyi Makinde.

Speaking on behalf of his people, the former Oyo State governor said:

“My people sent me a message to Mr President. Mr President, they said the creation of Ibadan State is their priority.”

He further urged President Tinubu to ensure the establishment of Ibadan State becomes a reality before 2027.
