Liverpool are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, with a £35 million transfer edging closer to completion.
According to reports, the 24-year-old England international has already agreed personal terms with the Reds, and talks between the two clubs are moving towards a final agreement.
Guehi, who has made over 100 Premier League appearances since joining Palace from Chelsea in 2021, has earned a reputation for his composure on the ball, leadership qualities, and defensive consistency — traits that have made him one of the most sought-after defenders in England.
With head coach Arne Slot prioritising defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 season, Liverpool view Guehi as a player capable of stepping straight into the starting XI and bolstering their backline for both domestic and European campaigns.
In addition to Guehi, Liverpool are also in talks with Serie A side Parma for 18-year-old Italian prospect Giovanni Leoni. The teenager has already impressed with his maturity and technical ability, drawing interest from several top European clubs. The Reds see Leoni as a long-term project to develop alongside their established defenders.
Sources suggest both players are keen on joining Liverpool, with Guehi’s deal expected to be finalised first before the club shift full focus to securing Leoni.
