Anambra’s Onyinyechi Basil has emerged victorious as Miss Universe Nigeria 2025.
The 25-year-old beauty queen was officially crowned during the pageant’s grand finale on Saturday evening in Lagos, triumphing over 21 other contestants to succeed 2024 winner Chidimma Adetishina.
In her first words as the new queen, Basil said, “I want young girls to know that they can achieve more, and still celebrate their cultural identity.”
With her win, CREEBHILLS reports that she will represent Nigeria on the global stage at the Miss Universe 2025 competition.
Runners-up included Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde (first runner-up), Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo (second runner-up), and Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi (third runner-up).
