Big Brother Naija Season 10 has once again stirred intense public debate following a viral moment involving housemates Isabella and Kayikunmi.
During a recent live broadcast, the duo was caught in an intimate encounter that shocked many viewers.
The camera captured Kayikunmi kissing Isabella and fondling her body. The two later moved to the bedroom, where Kayikunmi was briefly seen sucking Isabella’s breasts—first through her clothing, and then more explicitly after she lifted her top.
The incident sparked widespread outrage across social media, especially given Isabella’s status as a single mother raising a teenage child.
Critics accused her of inappropriate behavior, questioning the boundaries of decency on national television. However, not everyone agrees with the backlash.
Former BBNaija housemate and actor Pere Egbi weighed in via Twitter (now known as X), defending Isabella and criticizing Nigerian viewers for their reactions.
“I said it before, I’ll say it again—Nigerians think they’re ready for reality TV. Truth is THEY’RE NOT,” he wrote.
He went on to call Nigerians “too emotional” and “too judgmental,” slamming viewers for slut-shaming a woman over actions that took place on a show clearly rated 18+.
“Na una wan vote winner? When you’re all judging wrongly and slut-shaming a woman for showing her boobs on a show that’s rated 18+ on national television? Mtchewww,” Pere added.
A Heated Debate on Morality and Entertainment
The incident has sparked discussions about the nature of reality TV in Nigeria, censorship, and societal expectations—particularly those placed on women.
While some argue that Isabella’s actions cross a moral line, others maintain that BBNaija is meant to reflect real, unscripted human behavior—and that viewers must either accept its full scope or opt out.
With Isabella now at the center of attention, whether this controversy helps or hinders her standing in the house remains to be seen.
