Former Big Brother Naija star Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has opened up about the shocking reactions that trailed her disqualification from the 2019 Pepper Dem season of the reality show.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the media personality revealed that some individuals went as far as slaughtering goats to celebrate her exit from the show after her infamous clash with fellow housemate and eventual winner, Mercy Eke.
“I’ve been called different types of names. I got disqualified from the reality TV show and people killed a goat, killed stuff,” Tacha said.
The outspoken reality star also reflected on how drastically public perception of her changed after the show, noting that she had to deal with harsh criticisms and name-calling.
Shifting focus to her personal life, Tacha shared her struggles while living in the United Kingdom, where she once rented an apartment in one of London’s most expensive neighborhoods.
According to her, she paid as much as £5,000 monthly for the accommodation, a financial strain that forced her to constantly recalculate her expenses.
“It was literally just me living in the most expensive neighborhood. We are talking of £5,000 a month. Before you sleep and wake up, it’s 30 days already and you’re like, I have to start calculating,” she recounted.
She added that the experience was isolating, as her friends were mostly occupied with multiple jobs, leaving her with little social interaction.
