Ruth the former girlfriend of reality TV star Bright Chigozie Mbata, widely known as Bright Morgan, has spoken out after weeks of being referenced in his post-BBNaija interviews.
Her response comes after Bright alleged that she pushed for his disqualification while he was still in the reality show house.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram stories, Ruth accused Bright of repeatedly dragging her name into his media rounds, claiming he had now “opened a can of worms.”
According to her, their relationship officially ended on August 7, 2025, and she even requested that he remove her name from a tattoo on his wrist. She noted that upon walking away, she informed his parents, siblings, and close friends to make her decision clear.
Going further, she alleged that just a week into their relationship, Bright asked her for financial support, saying he had no money for food or groceries. She claimed she continued to support him financially throughout their time together, stressing that her feelings for him were genuine.
“It is not a crime to love someone deeply and genuinely,” she wrote. “Yes, I am not ashamed or afraid to say that I loved Bright Morgan after he made me believe he was genuine. Seven days into our relationship, he told me he needed money for food and had no one else to turn to. I sent him the money, and that’s how it continued.”
She added that the story was “much deeper” than people assume and hinted that she would share more details soon.
