Chris Brown has shocked fans by deactivating his Instagram account, which had amassed more than 75 million followers.
The American singer-songwriter’s decision comes shortly after he hinted at stepping away from social media.
“Ima take a break from social media. You all done pissed me off long enough,” he posted before deactivating his account.
While the exact reason for his departure remains unclear, the move follows recent reports and controversies surrounding the star. Just last week, the Daily Mail claimed Brown allegedly charged a male fan $1,200 for a photo, though this report has not been confirmed.
Chris Brown has also been dealing with legal troubles. He was arrested on May 15, 2025, in connection with an alleged assault on music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair district. The incident, which reportedly took place in February 2023, involved claims that Brown smashed a tequila bottle over Diaw’s head before attacking him further.
Diaw has since filed a $16 million civil lawsuit against Brown, citing severe injuries, emotional trauma, and financial losses.
For now, fans will have to wait and see when or if Chris Brown returns to Instagram.
