The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the shooter who assassinated right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, 31, was gunned down on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University, a shocking incident that has drawn widespread attention.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), the FBI confirmed the bounty and also released photos of a person of interest believed to be connected to the killing.
The images show the individual dressed in an American flag T-shirt with an eagle print, along with a hat and sunglasses. According to the FBI, the suspect appeared to be of an age that would allow them to “blend in well with a college institution.”
“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murd£r of Charlie Kirk,” the bureau said.
Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason also revealed during a Thursday morning press briefing that investigators have “good video footage” of the suspect.
“If we’re unsuccessful in identifying them immediately, we will reach out for the public’s help and the media’s help in pushing those photos,” Mason said.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities intensify efforts to track down Kirk’s killer.
