Canadian rap superstar Drake has shared details of a bizarre encounter with Swedish authorities, revealing he was once arrested after hosting a private party.
Speaking on a podcast, the Hotline Bling hitmaker recalled that the incident happened about three years ago when the girlfriend of a police officer attended his event.
“Apparently, we did a private party, and one of the officers, his girl came to the party,” Drake said.
He explained that police later stormed in and arrested him “way too aggressive” despite having done nothing wrong.
“They arrested me for nothing,” he emphasized.
When asked how long he was detained, Drake first estimated, “Three days?” before laughing and correcting himself: “Nine hours.”
The host jokingly asked if the ordeal had at least been “fun,” but Drake shut it down immediately, saying:
“No, no, no. It wasn’t good. I got arrested for nothing.”
The revelation has reignited discussions online about the incident, which first trended in 2022 when rumors of Drake’s arrest in Sweden sparked confusion among fans.
