Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, has expressed support for activist Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee, following her viral confrontation with former Labour Party chairman, Julius Abure, at the Abuja airport.
Mama Pee trended online after a video showed her confronting Abure on the tarmac, accusing him of being behind the leadership crisis rocking the Labour Party. She was later detained for a few hours at the Edo State Police Command over the incident.
Reacting in a post on X, Effiong defended her actions, insisting that such accountability measures should become a norm in Nigeria.
“What Mama Pee did is exactly what Nigerians should be doing to politicians,” Effiong wrote.
The lawyer’s comments have sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians debating whether Mama Pee’s approach represents civic responsibility or an overstep.
