Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused human rights activist and Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore of owning a mansion in the United States worth $552,000 (approximately ₦885 million).
Olayinka made the allegation in a post shared on his verified X handle on Friday, where he also claimed that Sowore runs the African Action Congress (AAC) as his personal property.
According to him:
“Sowore is the Chairman of AAC political party. He is Presidential Candidate of AAC. He is Financial Secretary of AAC. In fact, he is Sole Proprietor of AAC.
He owns mansion worth $552,000.00 (about ₦885m) in the US. Na CASHTIVIST Sowore be that. Reason his party members suspended him for CORRUPTION.”
The allegations come amid Sowore’s continued criticism of political leaders and government policies. However, as of the time of filing this report, Sowore has not publicly responded to Olayinka’s claims.
