Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has issued a strong message to Nigerians, urging them to stop being pushovers and learn to prioritise their own happiness.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress advised people to quit agreeing with others simply to avoid conflict, stressing that no one should sacrifice their peace of mind for the comfort of others.
In her words:
“Stop saying yes to everything and everyone. Stop agreeing with people just so you don’t upset them. You are not a pushover. You were not born to be stressed & miserable so others can be relaxed & happy. Start protecting your time & your happiness. If others can’t handle it, kick them out & don’t look back.”
She further emphasised that individuals must take responsibility for their choices rather than blaming circumstances, noting that:
“The world owes us nothing. We are where we are because of our decisions, not because of our circumstances. You have the power within you to overcome anything life throws at you. Surround yourself with people who remind you that you matter.”
Dayo concluded her post with a bold declaration, encouraging her fans to embrace self-ownership:
“Be big & bold enough to say THIS IS MY LIFE!!! and I am responsible for it.”
