Actress Dayo Amusa has issued a stern warning to fellow Nollywood star Lizzy Anjorin after a new round of tension erupted online following the first birthday party of Dayo’s son.
Dayo hosted a star-studded celebration for her baby boy, who turned one last week. Videos from the event went viral, showing Dayo, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe and several other celebrities dancing as the live band performed.
Social media users claimed the band’s lyrics included subtle shades directed at Lizzy Anjorin, reigniting an already fragile relationship between the actresses.
Lizzy reacted during an Instagram Live session, accusing Dayo and Iyabo of orchestrating a disrespectful performance. According to her, the lyrics were intentional and meant to mock her.
In response, Dayo released a fiery voice note—now circulating widely online—warning Lizzy never to mention her child again.
She said:
“I don’t want to have issues with you. We both are parallel lines that can never meet. We are not friends. You called me out after I delivered my baby. You also said you wanted to visit me and the baby, but I declined honorably because of your fracas stuff.
Let this be the last time in your entire life that you will ever mention my baby’s name in your video. I don’t joke with my child. If you try it again, my reaction will be outside social media and you will not like it. Stay on your lane and respect yourself.
Don’t use my child for your video shenanigans, if not, people will feel pity for you by the time I am done with you. I don’t ever want to have anything to do with you.”
Dayo added that she responded via Instagram DM because she does not have Lizzy’s phone number, noting this was the same channel Lizzy used to congratulate her after the child’s birth.
The clash has sparked intense debate online. While many fans are applauding Dayo for setting firm boundaries to protect her child, others caution that messy public feuds among Nollywood stars tend to escalate rapidly.
