Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has taken to Instagram in tears, accusing an unnamed woman of deliberately trying to ruin her reputation and discourage brands from working with her.
In a video shared on her page, Nkechi revealed that the woman had been speaking negatively about her to companies, which she says has affected her work as a brand influencer.
“Before people started this influencing thing, I had been doing adverts for brands. I have this fan base that, whatever I post, they engage with. But there you are, always discouraging people from working with me. I have not offended you before or collected your husband. I’m sure I have never been involved in any form of scandal,” Nkechi said emotionally.
The actress stressed that she earns her living strictly through influencing and advertising, dismissing claims that she sleeps with men for money.
“I am human, and I have blood running through my veins. It’s ENOUGH. I don’t have any other means of livelihood aside from this Instagram. I no dey open legs for man before I chop, contrary to whatever you think of me. Every single penny I have came from influencing different brands over the years, and you want to stop it? Wetin you really want use my downfall do?”
Nkechi, who has long maintained a loyal fan base, expressed frustration that her hard work is being undermined. She emphasized that she built her career in brand advertising long before social media influencing became a popular trend.
The video has sparked reactions online, with fans rallying behind the actress, praising her transparency and encouraging her to keep pushing despite the negativity.
