South African rapper Nadia Nakai has admitted to undergoing cosmetic surgery to achieve her new figure, joining a growing list of celebrities who have openly spoken about body enhancement procedures.
The revelation came on 11 September 2025, after a viral video clip surfaced showing Nadia candidly sharing the truth with her family.
In the clip, the Naa Mean hitmaker explained that she kept the procedure a secret because she feared being judged or worrying her loved ones. She disclosed that a nurse moved in with her during recovery to ensure she was comfortable.
“The nurse brought me back and stayed with me for four days to make sure I’m fine, even feeding me,” Nadia revealed.
She also admitted that her decision was rooted in personal image and confidence rather than health concerns.
“I’m not trying to stress my family out over trivial things. I’d rather talk to them about going to the hospital for a serious thing. I’m not trying to stress out my family because I got my butt done. This is just so I look good on Instagram, on stage, and in photoshoots. It’s not that serious; it’s definitely a vain procedure.”
Nadia’s candidness comes at a time when more celebrities are choosing to be open about cosmetic surgery. Influencer and DJ Cyan Boujee recently revealed that her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) was inspired by her idol, Cardi B.
“I did my BBL because I just definitely wanted to. I had a lady I looked up to, and I just knew that one day I wanted to look like her,” Cyan said during an appearance on The L-Tido Podcast.
With Nadia’s confession sparking conversations online, fans have praised her for her transparency in an industry where many prefer to keep such procedures private.
