Nigerian rap icon Olamide has shed light on his relationship with fellow Afrobeats heavyweights — Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
Speaking in a recent interview with Adesope Live, the YBNL boss revealed that while he shares a bond with the trio, they can sometimes be “too troublesome.”
“Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy are all my friends, they are just too troublesome. They are cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things and that’s fine,” Olamide explained.
The rapper also addressed conversations around the “Big 3” of Afrobeats — a tag usually reserved for Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
For Olamide, exclusion from the ranking doesn’t bother him. Instead, he stressed that his priority remains making music and pushing boundaries for himself and his YBNL protégés.
