Country music legend Reba McEntire is officially engaged to her Happy’s Place co-star Rex Linn.
The 70-year-old star shared the happy news on the red carpet at the 2025 Emmy Awards, where she referred to Linn as her “fiancé.” McEntire also flashed a black ring on her left hand during the ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Her representative later confirmed the engagement.
McEntire and Linn first met back in the 1990s, but their romance only began in 2020, after reconnecting on the set of Young Sheldon.
This will mark McEntire’s third marriage, following her unions with rodeo champion Charlie Battles and her former manager Narvel Blackstock.
Last year, McEntire hinted at being open to marriage again, saying she would say yes if Linn ever proposed.
“If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me,” she said at the time. “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”
The engagement comes as Reba McEntire continues to make big career moves. At the Emmys, she delivered a musical tribute to The Golden Girls in honor of the sitcom’s 40th anniversary.
