Former Big Brother Naija housemate Saskay has announced that she has been admitted into the Brussels School of Governance in Belgium, where she will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Global Security and Strategy.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Saskay revealed that the opportunity came after five years of waiting, during which she faced doubts and challenges. She disclosed that both her admission and a scholarship paved the way for her to continue her education abroad.
She credited her sisters and close friends for supporting her through the waiting period and the visa application process, noting that their encouragement helped her stay focused on her goal.
Reflecting on the journey, Saskay admitted that returning to academics after years away from international studies has been overwhelming, but she described it as a long-awaited dream finally coming true.
Quoting Isaiah 60:22b, she wrote: “When the time is right, I the Lord, will make it happen.” She added that despite moments when she nearly gave up, everything eventually aligned in her favor — from the admission process to receiving a scholarship.
“This year was the year! From gaining admission, to scholarship and the hectic visa process, it was all destined,” Saskay said, adding that she even went for Thanksgiving in church before receiving her admission letter, as a show of faith.
Now settled in Belgium, Saskay says she is excited about this new chapter, even though the academic transition has already brought moments of emotional overwhelm.
