Sheila Courage has finally reacted to the online drama stirred up by her ex-husband, Isreal DMW, after he shared a viral video of her dancing at a nightclub in Lagos.
Rather than addressing his comments directly, Sheila simply dropped a laughing emoji under a post about the clip on Wednesday — a subtle response that has since divided social media.
While some users defended her right to enjoy life after divorce, others criticized her for “mocking” the situation.
Isreal’s Side of the Story
The drama began after Isreal reposted the nightclub video on his Instagram story, writing:
“Please leave me alone, I have moved on with my life.”
However, in a later live chat with Daddy Freeze, he went further, accusing Sheila of using their failed marriage to chase attention.
“To me, I think divorce is supposed to be very painful. As in, when you are divorced, you are not meant to be happy. Omo! This girl, she saw it as a way of promoting herself. She went about doing monetized interviews, giving advice. A marriage you didn’t stay for five months. You are now advising people,” he said.
Isreal also criticized what he described as Sheila’s “double lifestyle,” saying:
“In the morning you go carry Church, in the night you go go club go turn wild. She left the marriage not because she was maltreated, but because she wanted to see outside.”
A Short-Lived Marriage
Sheila Courage and Isreal DMW tied the knot in an elaborate ceremony in Benin City on October 20, 2022, but their marriage ended in less than a year. Since their split, both have traded accusations of abuse and disrespect, with the drama frequently spilling onto social media.
Despite the public fallout, Isreal insists he has not given up on marriage, while Sheila’s lighthearted emoji suggests she has moved on from the controversy.
