Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has announced his engagement, weeks after being linked to a viral video of a mystery kiss.
The Who Is Your Guy? crooner took to Instagram on Friday to share photos from his proposal, revealing that he had found love in an unexpected place.
“On the 30th of March 2024 my world paused as I found love in an unexpected plc at exactly 2:48am 😊 I met the answer to my prayers @_callme_njure in a Lagos club while at work and from then till now I have lived every single day a very happy man 😊
Thank you for saying YES my sweet J 😍 I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you ❤️” he wrote.
The announcement comes just weeks after a blurry video circulated online allegedly showing Spyro kissing a woman at a restaurant. While many fans insisted the man in the clip resembled him, others argued it was someone else. Spyro never confirmed or denied the speculation.
Born October 1, 1990, Spyro is best known for hit songs such as Billing and Who Is Your Guy?. He has previously been romantically linked to reality star Nengi, though he never confirmed the relationship.
