Wayne Rooney Says He Has “No Faith” in Ruben Amorim

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has cast serious doubt on the future of current manager Ruben Amorim, following the Red Devils’ 3-1 defeat to Brentford last weekend.

The loss leaves United with just two league wins this season, languishing in 14th place. Their misery was compounded earlier this month when they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Grimsby Town.

Speaking on the Wayne Rooney Show, the United legend admitted he does not believe Amorim will be able to turn the situation around.

“Ruben Amorim is my age, a bit younger, he’s still a young manager. I’m sure he has a great future. But what is going on at Man United? I don’t recognise the whole football club,” Rooney said.

“I honestly hope he can turn it round and he does. But if you’re saying to me, ‘do you believe he will?’, then, after everything I’ve seen, honestly, I’ve got no faith in it.

Rooney’s comments come amid growing pressure on Amorim, with fans and pundits questioning his ability to revive the struggling side
