The U.S. Treasury Department has unveiled a draft design for a $1 coin featuring President Donald Trump, as part of plans to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026.
Images of the proposed coin, shared on Friday, October 3, 2025, by U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach on X, show a profile of President Trump on the obverse side, accompanied by the words “liberty” and “1776–2026.”
The reverse side depicts Trump with a raised, clenched fist in front of an American flag, along with the inscription “fight, fight, fight.” The phrase references a statement the former president made after surviving an assassination attempt last year.
A spokesperson for the Treasury Department confirmed that the design is still in draft form, noting that a final version has yet to be approved.
According to the spokesperson, “this first draft reflects well the enduring spirit of our country and democracy.”
Further details about the final design and release date are expected in the coming months as the U.S. prepares for its historic semiquincentennial celebrations.
