A fan had commented on social media, claiming that the name “Yakira” suggested Toke’s baby daddy might be a Muslim. The comment read:
“I think Yakira’s dad is a Muslim.”
Toke Makinwa quickly clarified the assumption, explaining that her daughter’s name has Hebrew origins, not Arabic.
In her words:
“He is not. Yakira is a Hebrew name. Beloved, precious and someone of great worth.”
