Taylor Swift Dismisses Rumours She’ll Quit Music After Marriage to Travis Kelce
Global pop star Taylor Swift has reassured fans that marriage won’t mark the end of her music career.
In an interview with BBC Radio 2, the “Life Of A Showgirl” hitmaker addressed ongoing speculation that she might retire from music following her recent engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.
Swift firmly dismissed the rumours, explaining that marriage has nothing to do with abandoning one’s passion or career.
“It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job. Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she said.
Taylor Swift and Kelce, who began dating in the summer of 2023, got engaged in August 2025.
Fans worldwide have since flooded social media with messages of support, celebrating Swift’s commitment both to her relationship and to her lifelong love for music.
