Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has revealed that his first marriage was largely influenced by pregnancy.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Daddy Freeze reflected on his past relationship with his ex-wife, Opeyemi, admitting that the union was a product of youthful inexperience and circumstance.
“We had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, I’m not sure we would have gotten married,” he said.
The on-air personality further disclosed that since their divorce, his ex-wife has allegedly denied him access to their children.
“It has been nearly ten years,” Freeze lamented. “My ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is the marriage didn’t work. Can I see or talk to my kids on the phone? They’re out of the country. I traced them but I don’t want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, a DM on social.”
The revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans commending Daddy Freeze for his openness and honesty about the challenges of early marriage and co-parenting.
