May Edochie Reveals How She Met Estranged Husband Yul Edochie
May Edochie has opened up about how she first met her estranged husband, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, long before fame and marriage came into the picture.
Speaking on a recent lifestyle podcast, the mother of three shared that their paths first crossed at a General Certificate Examination (GCE) centre during her early university days.
According to May, she had recently moved from Lagos to pursue a degree at Enugu State University, while Yul was a student at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) at the time.
“Way back in school when I went to the East for my university, I’m a bookworm. It’s always been about books for me. We didn’t meet at a party or any glamorous setting — we met at a GCE centre,” she recounted.
Reflecting on that period, May Edochie described herself as an academically driven young woman, emphasizing that her focus then was entirely on her education.
Her revelation offers a rare glimpse into the early beginnings of their relationship, years before the couple became one of Nollywood’s most talked-about families.
