Nollywood actress and media personality, Omotunde Adebowale-David, popularly known as Lolo 1, has sparked conversations online with her candid opinion on polygamy, expressing a preference for it over secret relationships.
During a recent podcast with her colleague, Bimbo Akintola, Lolo shared that honesty and fairness should be the foundation of every relationship.
“I would rather a man be polygamous than for him to be married and have a side-chick. That’s the one I would not contend with,” the actress said.
According to her, polygamy offers a certain level of fairness to all parties involved, unlike what she described as “side-chick culture.”
In the same conversation, Bimbo Akintola shared her thoughts on the issue, saying that “side-chick culture” emerged when men were encouraged to marry so-called “wife material” instead of the women they truly loved. She further stressed that honesty and transparency are crucial in maintaining healthy relationships.
