Michael Nwoko, the brother of Senator Ned Nwoko, has released a statement addressing the growing controversy surrounding the lawmaker’s marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
Taking to Instagram in the early hours of Monday, Michael urged the public to remain calm and allow the family to handle the situation privately.
He wrote:
“I respectfully crave the indulgence of all fans and people of goodwill to be calm and continue to demonstrate understanding as whatever is happening between Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko and his dear wife, Mrs Regina Daniels Nwoko is a private family matter. It would be resolved internally. Thank you all, and God bless.”
Michael’s appeal comes after a viral video showed Regina Daniels visibly emotional, sitting outside at night and saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen… Not again. I can’t stand this violence.”
The clip has since sparked widespread concern among fans, with many urging the actress to prioritize her safety.
In response, Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents the Delta North Senatorial District, denied the domestic violence allegations, claiming Regina’s behaviour stemmed from substance abuse.
According to him:
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”
The senator further alleged that Regina had become violent at home, damaging household property.
Ned and Regina tied the knot in 2019 and share two children together. As of the time of this report, Regina Daniels has yet to issue a public response to the allegations.
