“No Fresh Claim, No $350m Payment” — Ned Nwoko Denies Allegations Linking Him To Lateef Fagbemi

Ned Nwoko’s Brother Breaks Silence on Regina Daniels’ Marital Crisis

Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has firmly denied allegations of improper collaboration with the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, over the controversial Paris Club refund matter.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the senator described the reports as false, misleading, and a deliberate distortion of facts that have already been reviewed multiple times by relevant authorities.

“The publication is false, misleading, and a distortion of facts that have been consistently examined by relevant authorities,” the statement read.

Nwoko revealed that the issue had been subjected to four separate investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, including one conducted under the current administration.

According to him, all investigations reached the same conclusion — that the contractual work in question was duly executed and that any outstanding payments remain valid under existing agreements.

He added that these findings are supported by official records from the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria, where all federal financial transactions are documented and audited.

Addressing claims of any wrongdoing involving the Attorney General, Nwoko dismissed them as baseless.

“Allegations linking the Senator to any improper collaboration with the Attorney General of the Federation… are entirely unfounded and malicious,” the statement added.

The senator also accused certain individuals, including Omoyele Sowore and George Uboh, of pushing what he described as a coordinated misinformation campaign for personal or political reasons.

He further disclosed that legal action has already been initiated in response to what he considers defamatory publications.

“For the avoidance of doubt… there is no ‘fresh claim’ and at no time was $350 million paid to Ned Nwoko or his company,” the statement concluded.

The development adds another layer to the long running controversy surrounding the Paris Club refunds, as debates over transparency and accountability continue to generate public attention.
