Deji Adeyanju Questions Authenticity of Big Brother Naija Prize Money
Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has raised doubts about whether Big Brother Naija winners actually receive the prize money announced at the end of the show.
In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Adeyanju questioned the transparency of the reality TV show’s reward system, noting that several past winners appear to struggle financially despite their supposed multi-million-naira winnings.
“Do they really give BBNaija winners the prize money? The reason I am asking is because many of them end up looking extremely broke thereafter,” he wrote.
His comment has since stirred reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing differing opinions — some supporting his skepticism, while others argued that how past winners manage their finances after the show varies individually.
