The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has confirmed that popular Lagos socialite, Pretty Mike, is facing possible jail time following his arrest during a weekend raid at Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the agency, operatives recovered 384 kilograms of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, along with other illicit substances during the operation.

Pretty Mike, whose real name is Mike Nwogu, was arrested alongside his manager, Joachin Millary, and both remain in custody as the main suspects in the ongoing investigation.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi said operatives acted on credible intelligence and conducted surveillance before storming the nightclub, where a “drug party” was reportedly in progress.

“Over 100 attendees were detained but later released after profiling and counselling, while Pretty Mike and his manager remain in custody as the principal suspects,” Babafemi stated.

The agency condemned the growing trend of drug-themed parties in Lagos and other urban centers, describing them as criminal gatherings that encourage substance abuse and threaten public safety.

It also warned event organizers who promote such parties online or invite guests to drug-based gatherings that they risk prosecution for incitement and conspiracy.

In addition, the NDLEA cautioned nightclub owners, hotel operators, and event center managers to monitor activities within their premises.

“Any property found to be used for drug-related activities will be confiscated and forfeited to the Federal Government,” the statement read.

The agency further urged parents, community leaders, and citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help curb the growing drug abuse menace in Nigeria.
