Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly denied allegations of domestic violence made against him by his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, insisting that their marital crisis stems from her alleged struggles with substance abuse.
In a detailed statement shared on his Instagram page on Sunday and seen by Creebhills, the Delta-born lawmaker described Regina’s recent outburst as an episode of “unprovoked carnage and rampage.”
According to him, the actress allegedly attacked members of his household staff and destroyed properties within their home while he was away. He also posted video clips showing damaged cars and shattered windows inside his residence.
Nwoko alleged that Regina’s “current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse” was the cause of the tension in their marriage, noting that he had consistently urged her to undergo a rehabilitation program either in Asokoro or abroad.
He further claimed that Regina’s close associates had been supplying her with illicit substances and enabling her destructive behavior.
The senator added that he had to rush their son, Moon, to the hospital following an incident with the family’s resident nurse — whom Regina allegedly threatened.
Denying any history of violence, Nwoko maintained that none of his other wives had ever accused him of abuse and insisted that Regina was the aggressor.
His statement reads in part:
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.
She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.
I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting 3 staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.”
He added that he had set conditions for her to resume therapy, either in Asokoro or Jordan, to help her recover in an environment free from drug access.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has yet to issue a response to her husband’s claims.
