The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has credited President Bola Tinubu’s leadership for the significant progress and infrastructural achievements recorded in Abuja.
Speaking on Tuesday, October 14, during the commissioning of completed access roads in Sector Centre B, Dakibiyu District, Wike praised the President’s commitment to development and governance, asserting that Nigerians owe him appreciation for the visible results being achieved under his administration.
“By [Mr. President’s] leadership, all the roads here have now been completed and in the next few months we will be here again. The Court of Appeal Division will soon be inaugurated by Mr. President,” Wike announced.
The Minister emphasized that Tinubu’s leadership has been the driving force behind the pace of progress in the FCT.
“I have always said that when you have the right leadership, you can achieve unexpected results. Tinubu has shown the right leadership and that is why we are able to achieve. Talking about the achievement we have made, it is because of the right leadership,” he said.
Reflecting on the transformation in Dakibiyu, Wike remarked,
“I’m sure all those who walk around this place will begin to reminisce—was this where we used to walk? This is the Dakibiyu District that we used to come to?”
He further urged Nigerians to remain focused and supportive of the President’s vision despite criticisms.
“Nigerians, we owe a lot to the President, and I have always said, yes, tongues will wag, but when you are focused, you will achieve results,” Wike added.
The event highlights the ongoing infrastructural strides in the FCT and Wike’s continued alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
